The title is taken from the image, which is from a postcard sent to me by the Women of the Greenham Common Peace Camp in the early 1980s. It is one of my treasured possessions, and the legend Awake the Dragon fits how I feel about the changes which are taking place in political awareness and involvement in the UK.
Those changes are needed to bring back to political discussions those who have become disillusioned, to bring into politics whose who feel disconnected from the process, and to widen the whole democratic process - to be inclusive of all, not just of the elite.
The thoughts expressed will usually be my own, although I may well share other opinions and ideas, as that's what democratic thought is all about. Problem solving and improving life for us all as together we are stronger!
